Dear Mr. Nasser: Last Saturday evening, my husband and I planned to go to Boston to the Oak Room to celebrate our anniversary. Due to the horrendous weather, we decided to stay local, and try someplace that we had never visited before. I got on the web, and found your fabulous web page! And, what is on the web is what is there! How lucky we were! Your restaurant is a hidden jewel, and we are so fortunate to have the chance to enjoy its classy style, outstanding food, and relaxing ambiance. It has been a long time since we enjoyed such fabulous food, prepared so hot and so tempting. Starting off with the 007 Martini, adding a glass of wonderful wine with dinner, we began to salivate as the food arrived. The lamb kebab (we are also French/Lebanese) was better than I can prepare myself! The house Lebanese dressing (on our salad) is our very favorite dressing, and yours reminded us of our parents' and grandparents'.... how grand is that??? And, the chicken picatta was done perfectly! Our waitress (fairly new) (Sam?) was great, very polite, non-invasive, and a joy. The entertainment (Barbuto) was the frosting on the cake.... background when needed, and a bit more "upbeat" as 9pm approached. A little bit of Rome, a little bit of Lebanon, and a whole lot of style... and, it's right next door! I am glad we did not go to the Oak Room; The Black Olive was like going to Europe! Hello My husband and I had dinner at your restaurant for the first time this past Saturday. I would like to say that the food was fabulous and the service was above and beyond what we expected. My husband is in the catering business now but spent many years in the restaurant business. I have worked as a waitress, bartender and hostess for twenty years. We have always enjoyed the "smaller" family owned restaurants over the large corporate "chain" type restaurants. However, there are not many fine establishments like the Black Olive for us to enjoy these days. I would like you to know that we heard about your restaurant because we recently bought a new house in Tewksbury. I work in a large company in Woburn in which several of the employees are from Tewksbury.....several of my co-workers raved about your restaurant (knowing that me and my husband dine out every Saturday evening) and now I know why. My husband had Lamb Kabob which was prepared perfectly as was my Veal Saltimbocca. There are so many restaurants (Italian) that do not know how to prepare Veal Saltimbocca or Marsala. We were also impressed by the piano player. What a classy touch to your already quaint and cozy restaurant. I am sorry that I cannot remember our servers name because she deserves to be recognized. I did compliment her as we were leaving but for the life of me I can't remember her name. I am a firm believer in passing on positive feedback as so many people these days only know how to complain. Thank you for a great dinner and I look forward to many more visits to the Black Olive. I would like to know how I can receive coupons for our future visits. Thanks again, Tamra Abate

What a pleasant surprise to find such a great restaurant so close to home. The food was good, the atmosphere nice and the service outstanding! We loved the olives and oil/bread and your house salads were generous and fresh. We will be back! MaryAnn and Kris Hutchins

I just wanted you to know that my husband and I had dinner at your restaurant this past Thursday night. It was my birthday and we had gone in and made reservations beforehand. We went on the wonderful gift certificate that you sent to me over the Internet and were promised a table for two over against the wall. However, when we arrived, our reserved table was a larger table and was right up front [the better to see and enjoy the entertainment]. As always, the service was excellent. Our server that night was Kerry. The food and menu selection was great. I had the Surf and Turf special [excellent], and my husband had the Eggplant Parmesan [also, right up there]. The Dean Martin impersonator was so good and more than exceeded our expectations. He was also very personable and even came over and shook our hands and introduced himself to us. I told him that we were there for my birthday - and he even offered to sing the tune for me. I thanked him but declined because I didn't want the attention. However, he did ask what my favorite song was and was sure to sing it. He was terrific! I told my husband that I felt like I was in LasVegas - what with a wonderful dinner and a show as well. It was truly a wonderful birthday celebration and I thank you for it. I've told everyone about your restaurant and a lot of our friends are now looking forward to trying your place. How lucky for us to have such a great place right here in town. You really have the knack for running a terrific restaurant. Keep up the good work. We'll be back, for sure! Sincerely, Kathi Eastman

I brought a group of students who are in a English as a 2nd Language and cultural immersion program. Kal the owner and staff made our visit a special occasion. We had superb dishes which covered half of his impressive menu. The chicken piccata was a big favorite. I now recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. I have gone back for lunch and dinner since, and still it is a special place for me. They really do treat you like family! I love when Kal has the time to visit with me. You people have the best marketing
program I have ever seen - barring none! I recently moved back to
the area and have been to your place for dinner twice in 4 weeks and
both times were great! I have already sent 3 couples down to try it
out and they also loved the food. When I finish getting settled into
our new home, I suspect I will be visiting your place at least once
a week. The Black Olive is the best restaurant I've found in the
Tewksbury area. Keep up the great work! |

I have been to the Black Olive
several times and have never been disappointed. The staff and
owners are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, I
especially love the grilled veggies for a side, and the cuisine has
such a variety that there's something for everyone. After going just
a few times they made me feel like family. Everyone welcomes us etc
etc. Just a super experience. |

I've been many times and have tried a different dish at each
visit. I have never been disappointed. The cuisine has a great
variety that there is always something for all tastes. I especially
love the way we are treated by the staff. Friendly, warm, inviting.

wonderful, from your staff, the delicious martini, our dinners and
the dessert we took home because we were too full to eat at the
